Description
2003-2008 Dodge Ram Quad Cab — Rust-Free From Texas. No Rot. No Guesswork. Just Solid Metal.
The 2003–2008 Dodge Ram 3rd Gen Quad Cab doesn’t need a sales pitch — the metal does the talking. This one came out of Texas, where dry heat and salt-free roads keep sheet metal honest. No rotten rockers, no bubbling cab corners, no swiss-cheese floor pans hiding under the carpet. If you’ve been fighting rust on your own truck, you already know how rare a genuinely solid 3rd gen cab has become. This is one of them.
Pulled from a Ram 1500 in SLT trim, finished in dark green metallic with a tan cloth interior, this is a four-door Quad Cab shell ready to become the backbone of a rust repair, a collision rebuild, or a straight cab swap across the entire 3rd gen Ram lineup — 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500. Stock number 51565.
What You’re Actually Buying — A Cab, Done Right
A cab is the one part you can’t easily patch your way out of. When the structure under the doors is gone, no amount of filler brings it back safely — you need clean metal to build on. That’s what this is: a straight, dry-climate Quad Cab body with its doors, interior panels, dash, and front seat still in place as shown in the photos.
Because it left the salt belt behind years ago, you get the thing that’s almost impossible to find up north — a 3rd gen Ram cab that isn’t quietly rotting from the bottom up. Check the underside shots. The floor structure and rockers are clean, which is exactly where these trucks usually die.
This is sold as a cab. The front clip — fenders, hood, grille, and front bumper — is not part of this and has already been removed (you’ll see that in the front-on photos). If your donor project needs that sheet metal too, that’s an easy add-on conversation.
What’s On It — The Details That Matter
Body style — 3rd Generation Dodge Ram (2003–2008). The body everyone means when they say “third gen.” Quad Cab, four full doors, room behind the front seats.
Trim — SLT. Badged SLT, with the tan cloth interior and door panels that came with that trim as pictured.
Colour — Dark green metallic. A deep, rich factory green shown across the side and three-quarter photos. (If you need the exact factory paint code for a colour-match, ask and we’ll help you track it down rather than guess at it.)
Interior — Tan / taupe cloth. Door panels, dash, and front seat are present as shown. Great for anyone rebuilding a tan-interior truck who wants matching pieces in one grab.
Doors — Front and rear, on the cab. Both sets hang as pictured, which saves you sourcing and hanging doors separately.
Glass — Windshield is cracked. We’re telling you straight: the front glass is cracked and included as-is. Confirm the door and back glass from the photos before you buy.
Fitment — Read This Before You Order
This cab will physically work across the whole 3rd gen range: 2003–2008 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500. It came off a 1500, and because these trucks were optioned so many different ways from the factory, plan to transfer some of your own components over during the swap — harnesses are the most common thing you’ll move across, along with anything specific to your truck’s configuration.
And here’s the part people get wrong every single time — the split years.
2003 is a split year. Some 2003 Rams carry this 3rd gen body style. Others still rolled off the line wearing the older, previous-generation body. If you have an ’03, you must confirm which body style your truck actually is before ordering — the year on the title isn’t enough on its own.
2009 is also a split year. Some 2009 trucks still carry this body style; others had already switched over to the newer body. If you’ve got an ’09, verify which body yours is before you commit.
Not sure which side of the split your truck falls on? Send us your VIN or a couple of photos and we’ll confirm fitment with you before you buy. It takes two minutes and saves everyone a headache.

FAQ — 2003–2008 Dodge Ram 3rd Gen Quad Cab
Will this cab fit my truck?
It fits 2003–2008 Ram 1500 through 5500 trucks built in the 3rd gen body style. Because 2003 and 2009 are split years, confirm your truck’s body style first — send your VIN or photos and we’ll verify.
Is it really rust-free?
Yes. It came out of Texas, where the dry climate spares cabs the corrosion you see on salt-belt trucks. The underside photos show the floor and rocker structure so you can see it for yourself.
Does it come with doors and an interior?
Yes — front and rear doors, tan cloth door panels, dash, and front seat as shown in the photos. The front fenders, hood, grille, and front bumper are not included; this is a cab.
Is the glass good?
The windshield is cracked and included as-is. Confirm the door and back glass condition from the photos before ordering.
Will I need to swap parts over?
Most likely yes — commonly your existing harness(es), plus anything specific to your truck’s configuration. It’s normal for a cab swap.
What’s the stock number?
51565 — marked on the glass in the photos.
Can you ship it?
Pick up and shipping available — contact us with your location for a freight quote.
